Do-it-yourself projects come in all shapes and sizes. Don’t have a lot of time to invest in upgrading your home? No problem! We’ve compiled a list of DIY ideas that can be completed in a weekend or less, giving you more time to enjoy your accomplishments and search for something new to do.

Entryway
Get a brand new look without spending too much time or money. Sand and paint your front door a bold new color. Do the same with the door trim. Swap out your old house numbers with new ones. Add or replace your entryway fixtures with new exterior lighting. Add a planter or two, and if there is space consider placing some furniture on the front porch. Or, if you’re feeling extra handy, go online and find plans to build your own bench or chairs.

Living room
A can of paint goes a long way, so add some life to your living room with a new color or two. Try patterns to create a more stand-out space. Rent a commercial carpet cleaner from the local home center, or polish the floors if you have hardwood. Install crown molding or wall railing, or add shelving to a section of the room.
