On August 27, 2014, the Consumer Product Safety Commission released a product safety recall on Amana, Century, Comfort-Aire, Goodman, and York Packaged Terminal Air Conditioner/Heat Pump Units, also known as PTAC units. These specific units have had five reports of power cords smoking or catching on fire.
